Welcome!
Thank you for visiting KSL. I'm so happy you're here!
My name is Keelin ("Ms. Kee"), speech-language pathologist and founder of Key Speech and Language.
Professional Background
Since obtaining my Master's degree in Communication Disorders from New Mexico State University, I have served many wonderful clients and their families via early intervention & home health, outpatient clinics, and public school systems, all throughout New Mexico, California, and Washington State.
With 10+ years of clinical experience, I have been honored with the opportunity to provide speech and language therapy to a variety of linguistically, culturally, and neuro-diverse populations of both children and adults.
About Me
I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where my siblings and I grew up with our mother. While raising the 5 of us on her own, my mom also managed to complete her postgraduate program and obtain her license to practice occupational therapy. From a young age, I watched my mother use her knowledge to help people who really needed it. Seeing her make such a remarkable difference in others' lives led me to realize my own love of helping humans. This inherent drive to help others and my almost-nerdy passion for language have formed the foundation upon which I have built my province and expertise in the field of speech-language pathology.
In 2021, I moved from NM to Tacoma, WA with my 2 cats: KalaMata and 3 (pronounced "three"). We❤️the PNW! The weather is a bit wetter here than the New Mexican desert, but it has been great fun exploring the Puget Sound, climbing Mt. Rainier, and watching my favorite teams battle for the win (let's go Seattle⚽). The cats also love when I stay home to play games, watch a funny movie, or start a(nother) new art project.
My job is one of my favorite things to do on this Earth.
